Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

Location: On-site (Abuja) 

 

Responsibilities: 

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive M&E framework for tracking project performance, including tools, methodologies, and processes aligned with donor and project requirements

  3. Define project-specific indicators and metrics, ensuring they align with donor requirements 
  4. Implement data quality assessments and audits to ensure the integrity and reliability of data collected, ensuring it meets international best practices and donor standards 
  5. Prepare regular M&E reports for internal and external stakeholders, including donors, government agencies, and partners, ensuring clear and timely communication of project progress 
  6. Lead project evaluations, and facilitate learning from project outcomes to inform future strategies and interventions 
  7. Work closely with government, donors, and partners to harmonize data collection and reporting systems, ensuring alignment with national health information systems and RMNCAH indicators 
  8. Represent the project and Sydani Group at key forums, advocating for project objectives and promoting best practices 

Required Qualifications

  1. Advanced degree (MD/MBBS, PhD) in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
  2. Minimum 10+ years of experience in monitoring & evaluation healthcare projects, with a focus on primary health care and health systems strengthening  
  3. Extensive experience with RMNCAH-specific indicators, including those related to maternal mortality, newborn health, and child nutrition
  4. Knowledge of malaria indicators, programmatic results, and involvement in malaria-focused health system data collection
  5. Knowledge of GHSA-related indicators, including emergency preparedness and response data collection and reporting
  6. Proven experience in USAID’s M&E frameworks and systems, including DHIS-2 and related USAID reporting requirements
  7. Experience working with the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) and relevant departments on health data collection and health system reporting at the national level
  8. Experience working with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, particularly in on monitoring and Evaluation frameworks for PHC and community health programs, focusing on data quality and feedback mechanisms
  9. Ability to design and implement M&E systems, including data quality assessments, data collection, and training of health staff on M&E practices
